The Grammys always seem like more of a party than an actual awards show to me. Half of the people at the show don’t actually sing, they just go to the Grammys for a little more publicity. The Grammys are always a blast to watch though!

Jason Mraz was robbed by twice! Once by  Coldplay and again by John Mayer. Not that I don’t like Coldplay or John Mayer, I just like Jason Mraz more.  Personally, I think that Coldplay is a little played out and John Mayer is having a good year thanks to Jennifer Aniston.  If it weren’t for the publicity that he’s gotten from dating her recently he probably would have fallen off the face of the earth. Even if they aren’t together anymore he should really thank her for all of the time in the spot light that led to a Grammy. I wasn’t really crazy about Adele winning best new artist, but then again I wasn’t really excited about the Jonas Brothers being nominated either.  They should have just had better people in that category.

As far as Grammy fashion goes, I think that almost everyone could have used a little help. Paula Abdul tops the worst dressed list, I mean, what was she thinking?!?!  Miley almost had potential, except she always seems to forget that she’s only 16! She needs a cute dress, not something she can share with here mom.  Maybe Miley and Taylor Swift should have switched dresses so they each could have looked better. Carrie Underwood looked great walking down the red carpet, but when she performed she looked like she was going to fly away at any second.  I’m not a fan of dresses that look like they can double as wings when you flap your arms. She totally deserved to win her Grammy though - she’s got such an amazing voice!

Oh, and how can anyone forget that Chris Brown/Rihanna Scandal that came up right after the show was over?  At like 12:30 am the day of the Grammys, Chris Brown and some chick - Rihanna - got in to it and Chris Brown turned himself in later.  If he’s going to do anything to Rihanna of all people, he deserves to go to jail!  And thanks to him we didn’t get to see her last night.
