so, i was sitting on the couch enjoying my nightly red wine watching a little bit of Idol and enjoying every second of it. then the “bikini girl” comes on. i’m not too sure what exactly i think of bikini girl. but i do know if you’re trying out for idol and want to be taken seriously, don’t wear a bikini. sure, she might look great in it, but just not cool. if you are in the least bit confident about your singing abilities, why the bikini. sure, randy and simon sent her through before they heard a word that she sang, but paula and the new girl … kara … had about the same reaction i did. if you can sing, why exploit yourself like that??? she said that she didn’t dress like that for all interviews, so why for idol? it’s a singing competition, not hotornot.com. i’m starting to think that she just needs a hug. if bikini girl actually had friends to give her hugs when she was having a bad then i don’t think she’d have to go around auditioning from american idol dressed like a skank. but then again … she isn’t auctioning off her virginity on e-bay …
