Sushi Bar: Tie between Nikko’s and Press.  It really depends on the kind of mood you’re in. Go to Nikko’s if you’re looking to go out, head over to press if you’re looking for something more low key.

Thai Food: BASIL! So, it’s not even open yet and you won’t be able to try it until it is, but Basil is going to be by far the best thai restaurant in Charlotte! Like myself, Basil’s real home is Charleston, SC. The line is always an hour long and people always wait because it’s THAT good! I highly recommend going the night it opens!

Fancy Shmancy Restaurant: It’s not everyday that you can afford a meal that is $40 an entree, but when you’ve saved up a bit, I highly recommend Zebra across from South Park Mall. I lucked out and went during restaurant week where you got 3 courses for $30, but I would go again and pay full price for a special occasion.  It’s French cuisine, so you know it’s good. AND! they do $10 wine tastings on Friday night. You just can’t go wrong with this place.
